  1. Transformation of Mobile Messaging 2.0

After two exciting years, the Mobile Messaging 2.0 blog is undergoing a transformation.  Whereas the blog was previously authored by independent experts, it will now primarily feature content from guest bloggers and volunteer posts that showcase the viewpoints of those playing a major role in the mobile industry.  There will also continue to be posts from Airwide employees and the company's partners. It will continue, of course, to explore the important and emerging topics related to mobile messaging, adding a new focus on mobile mobile applications and the many lively debates surrounding this topic. For a taste, I encourage you to take a look at research from a study sponsored by Airwide and conducted by MobileSQUARED that explores carriers’ evaluation of app store models.

We will also be adding new features like news aggregation and a newsletter. We are grateful to Beeline Labs for helping us get the Mobile Messaging 2.0 blog off the ground and providing its editorial oversight and guidance during the first two years of existence. And we would like to particularly thank the numerous bloggers who've contributed to the blog over the course of the last two years, particularly Paul Ruppert, Ewan Spence, and Imran Ali – your many excellent observations and insights were greatly appreciated by us here at Airwide as well, we know, as by the hundreds of thousands of visitors who've visited the site since it launched.

To Mobile Messaging 2.0's existing readers, as well as those who are finding us for the first time: we look forward to continuing to bring you important insights, noteworthy developments, and exciting discussions.
