Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) will start selling a second Android device on Friday along with its first—the Motorola Droid. The device is the HTC Droid Eris, which is a variant of the well-received HTC Hero being sold by Sprint (NYSE: S) in the U.S. The Eris will cost $99, which is in-line with the iPhone 3G and cheaper than the Hero and most other smartphones.
