You Now Can Import Your Gmail Contacts Into Twitter

by Russell Shaw

As Sean Aune from the social networking news site Mashable enthuses, Twitter now has added a much-requested feature coveted bvy Twitter-ers since the service’s start: contact importation from other services. Now just limited to Gmail, the new feature works when you enter your Gmail email address and password.

What you will get back is a list of your Gmail contacts on Twitter. For those of your Gmail contacts who aren’t yet Twittered, you will be able to invite them to join.

Easy enough. You can enable this service with a couple of clicks from this page. If you have too much on your plate this morning, I’ve screencapped the page I’ve just linked to.

Twitter, though, should have provided a link from their home page rather than me have to search through the taxonomy of sub-pages to find it.
